Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan has no time limit and no advertisements. Paid plans add more contacts and documents. See the plans page.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The Windows and Android apps are optional.
Can I open my Word, Excel and PowerPoint files?
Yes. IndoWrite, IndoGrid and IndoSlide open and save .docx, .xlsx and .pptx. Very complex layouts may look slightly different, so check important files before you send them.
Can I type Hindi?
Yes. Type in English letters and press space. It follows fixed rules and does not know every word, so a few words need a long vowel typed out.
Is Indoria Munim a replacement for Tally?
No. It makes bills, tracks khata, purchases, expenses and GST summaries. It is not a double-entry accounting system and does not do TDS or payroll. Many small businesses use it for daily billing and give the exported data to their CA.
Does it file GST returns or make e-invoices?
No. It exports a GSTR-1 file for the GST offline tool. It does not generate e-invoice IRN or e-way bills yet.
Does it send WhatsApp messages by itself?
No. It opens WhatsApp on your phone with the message typed in, and you press send. It does not use the WhatsApp Business API.
Where is my data kept?
On servers in India. If you run it on your own server, on your own computer. See the privacy policy.
Can my CA see my files?
No. A CA who adds you as a client sees your name, your plan and how much storage you use. They cannot open your files, bills or customers unless you share something with them.
Can I leave and take my data?
Yes. Account, then Your data, then Download my data. Files can be saved as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF or CSV.
Is my data safe?
Passwords are hashed, sign-in can need a second step, access is logged and backups are supported. It has not yet been checked by an independent security auditor. See the security page.
